Since the beginning of this project, the equipment and apparatus has seen considerable change. Interleaved with technological developments, we have also been exploring the usefulness of the electro-dermal voltage measurement to try and determine if the effect is more than a novelty and may one day have application as a scientific or clinical tool. This we fully appreciate is at the moment a very long way down the road.

The initial electrograms from E-DIS 1 showed what appear to be some underlying anatomical structures on the back, repeated on a particular subject and also on more than one person.

E-DIS 2 also gave similar results (below left) and now with initial trials on E-DIS 3 comparable findings are present with enhanced rendering (below right). We are exploring different ways of processing the data to enhance the images generated. The electrograms below show various features of different people’s backs.

Above, back of male age 55. Processed method 1.
Left, back of female age 18. Raw scan data.
Below, back of male age 18. Processed method 2.

As we are making improvements with the equipment and techniques, we are also beginning to diversify with the E-DIS 3 scanner to explore other regions of the body and aspects of this phenomenon.
